Our Ingredients

  • Cedrus atlantica

Steam-distilled from sustainably harvested wood of Atlas cedar trees in Morocco's Atlas and Rif Mountains, cedarwood oil is rich in cedrol and alpha-cedrene. These are sesquiterpenes that have demonstrated sedative, anxiolytic, and anti-inflammatory effects via GABA-A receptor modulation and inhibition of inflammatory cytokines.

  • Eucalyptus globulus

Steam-distilled from the fresh leaves of the blue gum eucalyptus tree, which is endemic to southeastern Australia, this oil is composed largely of eucalyptol (also known as 1,8-cineole)—a compound with well-documented anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and expectorant properties. It inhibits cytokine production, increases cerebral blood flow, and at topical doses its cooling effect increases local circulation and complements peppermint's sharper analgesia in the Pain Relief Blend.

  • Boswellia serrata / Boswellia sacra

Steam-distilled from the resin of the Boswellia tree and native to parts of India, Oman, and Somalia, frankincense has been used in Ayurvedic and Middle Eastern medicine for millennia. Rich in boswellic acids and alpha-pinene, it is one of nature's most potent anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective botanicals, with documented effects on pain, immune regulation, and mood.

  • Zingiber officinale

Long used in traditional medicine and native to India and Sri Lanka, ginger essential oil is cold-pressed from the fresh rhizome of the ginger plant. The rhizome is an underground stem from which roots branch, rather than a root. This essential oil delivers a concentrated dose of gingerols and shogaols, which are bioactive compounds in ginger that have demonstrated anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, including modulation of COX-2 signaling and activation of the Nrf2 antioxidant response pathway in preclinical studies.

  • Simmondsia chinensis

Cold-pressed from the seeds of organically grown jojoba shrubs cultivated in arid regions including the Sonoran Desert and parts of Argentina, Israel, Panama, and Peru, jojoba is technically a liquid wax ester rather than a true oil. Its composition closely resembles the skin’s natural sebum, allowing it to absorb readily while helping support moisture balance and delivery of botanical actives. Naturally stable, non-comedogenic, and deeply nourishing.
